Mental Clarity

Clearing your mind of clutter allows you to more fully enjoy the good in your life, and better understand how to make the most of your life. If you want to make any changes in your lifestyle or simply want to maintain the good things you have going, improving your mental clarity is a great way to do so.

You don’t need to go too far out of your way to improve your quality of thought either. And while many people want to use stimulants or lab refined chemicals to boost their mental function, many of these have some major downsides. Medicine and modern health scientists still have a poor understanding of how the brain works, and many drug companies are simply in it to make a quick buck.

Additionally, there have been large increases in the diagnosis of certain developmental and mental disorders in the past few decades. While it can be difficult to understand the causes of these changes, whether it be increased awareness and diagnostic tools, an environmental or chemical cause, or even a social issue, there are natural remedies which can help you to deal with symptoms or decrease the chances of an unhealthy development.

  1. Vitamins are naturally produced organic compounds which are necessary components of diet. Note that in this case, the word organic does not refer to how it was produced. Rather, in chemistry and molecular biology, the term organic refers to carbon containing molecules. You should still do research to ensure that your sources of vitamins have high quality standards. These are largely molecules which are essential for normal physiological functioning but which the body cannot produce on its own. For mental health, vitamins in the B family, and D family are of particular interest I will do a more detailed post on Vitamins in the future, but for now, picking up a multivitamin might be very helpful.
  2. Herbal and Natural remedies. There are a number of plants and herbs which have been associated with increased memory, clarity, and mental ability. Gingko and Ginseng have both been shown to increase your brain’s efficiency on certain tasks. Looking to incorporate these into your diet or going out of your way to include them in your life can have long term benefits.

The truth is, so much of what we do is dependent on our ability to think clearly and quickly. Improving our brain’s ability to do this will only help us.
